Cheek implant surgery is a procedure used to enhance the size of the cheeks and make them more prominent, giving the face a more harmonious look.
What
does cheek implant surgery do?
It compensates the lack of volume of women's and men's cheeks. In some cases, it is a good idea to perform it together with a face lift, since it accentuates the rejuvenating effect. It makes women's cheeks look more attractive by making them more prominent and well-defined, two features that are considered characteristic of female beauty. It balances the relationship of volume between the cheeks and the nose. This is why this surgery is usually performed together with a rhinoplasty.

How
is a Cheek Implant surgery performed?
The surgeon makes an internal
pocket right in front of each cheek bone or a little below
of them, and inserts the implants. According to the kind of
implants used, they can be attached to the bone with screws,
to the muscle with sutures or simply remain in their place
by internal pressure of the pocket. There are four possible
incisions, the surgeon decides which one is best according
to each case: Intraoral
(inside the mouth, between the upper gums and the cheeks)
Palpebral
(on the lower eyelid right below the eyelashes, like in eyelid
surgeries) Transconjunctival
(inside the lower eyelids) Preauricular
(near the ear). This incision is made in face lift surgery,
so when these two procedures are performed together only one
incision is necessary.
It is very likely that, before placing the implant in its
final position, the surgeon will insert and remove it more
than once so as to adapt the shape and size to the special
needs of your face.
Hospitalization: There is no need to be hospitalized,
it is done on an outpatient basis Anesthesia: Local anesthesia and complementary
sedation.
Length of cheek implants surgery: Between 30 minutes

Even though it will make your face look more beautiful and harmonious, and it will probably also improve your self-esteem, it will not be enough to make you look perfect. We must be realistic and accept that that kind of perfection does not exist.
