How is an arm lift performed?
The surgeon will make an incision
from the elbow to the armpit, along the interior area of each
arm, and remove the excess skin and fat. He will insert drainage
tubes, if necessary, and then he will close the incisions
with sutures.
Hospitalization There is no need to be hospitalized;
it is done on an outpatient basis. Anesthesia Local anesthesia and complementary
sedation, or general anesthesia. Length of arm lift surgery 2 hours, approximately.
What does arm lift surgery NOT do?
It is not used for removing small fat deposits from your arms if the skin has a good elasticity. If this is your case, and diets and physical exercise do not produce the desired results, liposuction is the right thing for you.
