Plenitas Quality Policy   |   Quality Assurance Program

Quality Assurance Program

In our constant quest for excellence and quality, Plenitas has developed a guarantee program to assure service efficiency, which covers from the first appointment with the doctor to hospital discharge. Our Quality Assurance Program looks for perfection and highly satisfied patients in all processes.
Below, find out how we deal with client service complying with highest quality and assistance standards:

TREATMENT/PROCEDURE REQUEST

Once the Plenitas Patient Information Center receives an information request via website or phone, the request is sent to an advisor specially trained to answer in each case. As for general information about procedures and service terms and conditions or in the case that the patient requests detailed information about a procedure in particular, the advisor sends that request to a professional for him/her to address the inquiry.

ESTIMATE

In all cases, the amount estimated by Plenitas is not accurate. The definite payable amount for each procedure will be confirmed by the advisors after analyzing the case in particular. It is worth highlighting that the initial estimate may be slightly modified after professional evaluation, once the patient is already in Buenos Aires.

It is worth mentioning that inquiries made to the Patient Information Center are for free and fail to create any legal obligation between the patient and Plenitas.

ESTIMATED ITEMS

Plenitas estimates come in different formats according to the patient’s needs, likewise, by way of exemplification we may give a “standard” estimate format of a medical trip, which includes: doctor’s fees, pre-surgery tests, hospitalization, accommodation (optional), assistant and ground transportation.
Above-mentioned services can vary according to customized packages requested by each patient. Each package is custom-made in order to meet the needs of each patient.

Some services such as having an assistant and ground transportation are exclusive of certain medical procedures.

”Standard” or “basic” estimate does not include the following items:

Air ticket
Medicines related or non-related to the treatment.
Any other item not specified in the estimate.

FINANCING

Plenitas has financing plans exclusively for U.S.A. and U.K. residents thanks to the alliance made with Surgery Loans (USA) and Beautysure Finance Limited (RU) that have a wide variety of financing plans.

TRIP RESERVATIONS, PAYMENT CONDITIONS AND VALIDITY TERM OF QUOTATION

Once the characteristics of the medical service have been agreed upon, the patient shall make a down payment of 30% of the total price for reservation.

The patient may choose or postpone the arrival date pursuant to the price validity term conditions specified herein below.

The price agreed for a package purchased shall be valid for a term of 6 months as from the date of receipt of the reservation deposit. Once the aforementioned term expires, the package price will be modified according to the rates in effect at the moment of the patient’s trip.

The validity term of a package purchased may be extended for 6 additional months if the patient pays 100% of the package purchased within the original validity term of 6 months. Once this term expires, the package price will be modified according to the rates in effect at the moment of the patient’s trip.

The price balance of the package purchased shall be paid 30 days prior to the arrival date.

If a patient wants to travel within a term which is shorter than 30 days as from the date the package is purchased, they shall pay 100% of the price for reservation. Notwithstanding that, the services purchased shall be subject to Plenitas’ service availability. In such cases, it may be necessary to incur in additional expenses for extraordinary services and/or to add stay days, which shall be at the patient’s expense. Any such circumstance shall be informed to the patient as promptly as possible. Plenitas shall make all reasonable organization efforts to arrange dates in such a way that they suit its patients’ best convenience.

Patients may choose the arrival date at their convenience if: (a) the package price exceeds USD 7,000 and, (b) they pay 100% of the package price for reservation. Otherwise, it shall be subject to availability.

If after confirming the date, a patient wants to bring the trip forward, acceptance shall be subject to service availability.  If desired, patients may request that their case receive special treatment, subject to an additional cost. The amount of said additional cost shall depend on the effort Plenitas will have to make to obtain any additional resources necessary to fulfill the patient’s request. In any case, it shall always be subject to service availability.

If a patient closed a deal without confirming a date, their arrival shall be subject to service availability.

BEFORE TRAVELING

A team of specialists trained at the Patient Care Center will be in charge of coordinating and designing the medical trip. Our advisors will request your medical record and any kind of relevant information to determine whether you are eligible for the requested treatment.

The medical information gathered will be evaluated by Plenitas Medical Department to validate whether the patient is fit for requested treatment. It also should be taken into account that Plenitas Medical Department reserves the right to request additional medical information of the interested patient as well as the personal doctors living abroad in order to make a better analysis of the situation and chances of performing the treatment.

It is worth clarifying that the patient undergoing the treatment is fully entitled to safeguard his/her identity and medical information without previous notice. If the patient desires to keep within professional-patient confidentiality all medical information provided, he/she must express so in writing, for Plenitas to follow the necessary procedures to preserve such information and be able to continue with all analysis and evaluations to be carried out prior to the approval of the procedure.

PUTTING TOGETHER THE MEDICAL PACKAGE

Medical trip planning can be modified since some procedures cannot be performed together.

Required treatments may be subject to changes according to the diagnosis and professional criteria, as well as some recommendations made by the patient’s personal doctor living abroad.

PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS

If the patient suffers from pre-existing conditions he/she must undergo a series of specific tests according to the patient’s pathology and specialized medical personnel will be hired to assist the patient during the treatment.

These extra fees (not included in the package) must be covered with an additional down payment. Such deposit will be reimbursed to the patient if the services hired to treat the pre-existing condition are not used.

UNKNOWN PRE-EXISTING CONDITION

In the event that mandatory medical test made prior to any treatment show evidence of a pre-existing disease or condition unknown to the patient that may complicate the procedure, Plenitas will take the following precaution measures:

The patient will be immediately informed about his/her medical condition and the potential consequences on his/her health if the treatment is carried out.

Specific tests will be carried out and/or a team of professional specialists on the pathology in case will be hired, in this event a deposit (not included in the requested package) must be made to cover these expenses.

The deposit (or balance) will be reimbursed if there is no need of using extra services related to the patient’s pre-existing condition.

Plenitas, and acting professionals will not carry out the treatment that may put the patient’s health at stake without taking all necessary precautionary measures.

STAYS POLICY ACCORDING TO WEEK DAY OF ARRIVAL

Standard stays quoted by default in all quotations will be possible to fulfill provided that the patient arrives on such days of the week that all tests and consultations prior to the surgery and the surgery itself may be carried out on consecutive working days. Accordingly, weekend days are used for the purpose of post-surgery recovery. Therefore:

  • If the arrival day is MONDAY, TUESDAY, OR WEDNESDAY, the stay shall be the standard one quoted by default.
  • If the arrival day is THURSDAY arriving at EZE Airport until 9:00 AM, the stay shall be extended by +2 days.
  • If the arrival day is THURSDAY arriving at EZE Airport later than 9:00 AM or on FRIDAY, the stay shall be extended by +3 days.
  • If the arrival day is SATURDAY, the stay shall be extended by +2 days.
  • If the arrival day is SUNDAY, the stay shall be extended by +1 day

ARRIVAL IN BUENOS AIRES

Upon arrival at the Ezeiza International Airport (EZE) the patient is greeted by a Plenitas’ assistant, who will escort the patient to the hotel booked for his/her stay in Buenos Aires. The patient will be given a folder containing detailed agenda and documents about the treatments, which the patient must signed before the procedure is performed.

It is worth clarifying that assistants are not exclusive of each patient, but assigned according to availability, that is to say, it is possible to have an assistant greet you at the airport and a different one escort you to the medical appointment.

It is possible for a patient to have an exclusive assistant upon request (this service has an additional cost).

FIRST MEDICAL APPOINTMENT

Once the first appointment concludes, the treatment is confirmed and dates and times are set. In the event that the doctor considers that it is necessary to perform other treatments not included in the initial package, the advisors of the Patient Care Center will reevaluate the quotation including the new treatments to be performed.

Before surgery the patient must sign a document in which he/she acknowledges the risks implied in the treatment to be performed and the potential complications that may arise.

CHECK-UPS

Once the procedure has concluded, the medical team will perform all necessary check ups to analyze the outcome of the surgery and they will recommend the patient the necessary precautions and cares to be taken once the patient is back in his/her country to recover without complications.

DEPARTURE

On the day of the departure, the patient is escorted to the airport by an assistant.

AFTER TRAVELING

Once the patient is in his/her country of origin, several days after the surgery, the patient will receive a communication from the advisors of the Patient Care Center in order to verify his/her health condition and post-surgery evolution.
