Otoplasty or ear surgery is the procedure used to modify the size and shape of your ears in order to give them a more pleasant look. If your ears stand out prominently or are too big, this is your chance to stop being ashamed of them and harmonize your face.

Before Cosmetic Ear surgery: Tips




  • Otoplasty may be performed in children of four years of age or over, when the ears have completely developed. If you are considering this surgery for one of your children, it is advisable that you watch him closely and analyze if he is really as uncomfortable as you think he is and if he really wants to undergo this surgery. Otoplasty should be a personal decision, even for children, they should not be persuaded by their parents.
  • Once in Buenos Aires, an assistant provided by Plenitas will take you to the lab in which the clinical analyses and the surgical risk evaluation will be performed.   • It is advisable that you ask your surgeon whatever questions you may have so as to do away with all those doubts and fears so common for those who are about to undergo surgery.   • It is advisable that you write down all the questions you may have prior to the interview, so that you will be able to read them to the physician and get answers for all of them.
  • Ask your physician what kind of hair band should you use and where can you get it.
  • It is advisable that you get the medication indicated by the physician in advance (antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, analgesics), so that you will not have to take care of that right after the surgery.
  • Try to get some gel bags in a drugstore and have them frozen for when you get back to the hotel, or some ice bags and ice cubes ready to fill them. Cold compresses will help reduce the bruises and the swelling.
