Bandages
ou will leave the operating room with a bandage around your head that will cover all the treated areas.

After coronal brow lift surgery, the bandages will be removed by the surgeon 24 hours after the surgery, and you will have to wash your head.

After endoscopic brow lift surgery and brow suspension techniques, you will be bandaged with Micropore tape that will have to stay there for 4 or 5 days.

Amount of pain
Low to medium, according to the characteristics of the procedure. If you take analgesics every 6 or 8 hours you will feel much relieved.

Removal of the stitches
Coronal brow lift surgery: between 5 and 10 days after the surgery Other procedures: 5 days after the surgery, when the bandages are removed.

Bruises and swelling
The incidence of bruises and swelling varies according to each patient and to the method used. In coronal brow lift surgery the incidence of swelling and bruises is higher and they may last between 10 and 14 days.

Sleeping with the head in a high position and applying cold compresses will help you recover faster.

Scars
In all cases, the scars remain concealed by the hair, unless you have bald spots or heavy hair loss. In endoscopic brow lift surgery and brow suspension techniques the resulting scars are very small.

In coronal brow lift surgery the resulting scar will be bigger, it will run across the upper part of the head from ear to ear.

Recovery
At first, you may feel a certain numbness on your forehead. If you underwent coronal brow lift surgery your scalp may experience loss of sensitivity that may last a few days or some months.

You will have to rest at the hotel for 48 hours, and you should bear in mind that you must not move your head too roughly. You may be able to return to your social activities or job 10 days after the surgery.

Some people may experience depression during the recovery period. This is very usual after any kind of surgery, regardless of its triviality. You may even feel that you made a terrible mistake in deciding to have a surgery. But you shouldn't worry. Possible risks and complications
It is very unlikely for brow lift surgery to present any complications when performed by a qualified surgeon.

• If bruises get too large, they may require drainage.
• Seromas, or fluid accumulation beneath the skin. In some cases, they may require to be drained with a syringe.
• Temporary hair loss or weakening of the hair around the scars.
• Incorrect position of the eyebrows resulting in asymmetry or in the typical 'surprise look'.
