Arm lift
or brachioplasty is a surgical procedure used to remove the excess skin and fat that make your arms look saggy. It's time to get your sleeveless clothes out of the wardrobe.

Before Arm Lift surgery: Tips

  • Avoid exposing your arms to the sun rays from, at least, two weeks before the surgery.
  • It is advisable that you ask your surgeon whatever questions you may have so as to do away with all those doubts and fears so common for those who are about to undergo surgery. Plenitas and its medical team will gladly answer all the questions you may want to ask before your trip and during the personal interview before the surgery. Likewise, we will gladly organize your trip to Buenos Aires, if you wish to talk with the physician in person before making a decision.
  • It is advisable that you write down all the questions you may have prior to the interview, so that you will be able to read them to the physician and get answers for all of them.
  • Remember that smoking reduces the body's oxygenation, and insufficient oxygenation may result in complications after the surgery, such as, slower healing of wounds, thicker and more visible scars, and even skin necrosis in the area around the wounds. Therefore, if you are a smoker, we strongly recommend you not to smoke during a few weeks prior to the surgery.
  • If you know that you are prone to developing keloids or hypertrophic scars (excessive scar tissue), you should tell your surgeon in advance, since the application of gel or silicone strips may prevent this from happening.
  • You should carry with you sleeveless clothes or with loose-fitting sleeves. Remember that your arms will be bandaged.
  • It is advisable that you get the medication indicated by the physician in advance (antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, analgesics) so that you will not have to take care of that right after the surgery.
  • Try to get wet towels like those used for babies, they are very useful when we cannot take a bath.
  • Since it is likely that some blood will issue from the incisions before they heal completely, some people like to have a towel they no longer use to dry them off.

Prices: Why are we so affordable?

The main reasons of our convenient value for money ratio is due to our work with some of our country´s finest surgeons and also thanks to Argentina´s exchange rate.
Argentina, through Buenos Aires city, is a very convenient destination since the costs of health care in other industrialized countries are excessive.
